North Avenue Beach and Olympic Volleyball Competition

Is North Avenue Beach a good spot for the Olympic volleyball competition?

North Avenue Beach is a good spot for the beach volleyball, but not for the Olympic volleyball competition. I think the beach is not a good spot for the big game because the North Avenue Beach does not have much space to fit many people. My BIR class went to the beach last week (07/26/09); there were many people on the beach. I felt like the place was too crowded; even I could see more people on the North Avenue Beach before. I can imagine, if the beach is the location for Olympic volleyball competition, the beach will need to have more space. In the summer, the weather was very nice and sunny, but in Chicago I can imagine that the great weather condition can be windy as the city named of the Windy City. At this point, I don’t think the beach would be the good location for the Olympic volleyball competition. For the transportation, I think the Chicago Transportation Authority (CTA) would do a good service for everyone to get to the beach, but if for the Olympics, there will be more people coming to see the game, I don’t think the CTA will be able to provide enough route buses for everybody. Through these I think CTA needs to have plans for support.
